introduction
Many people always strive to get a beautiful smile, which reflects the beauty and health of the teeth, so the person had to provide care for his teeth by following several methods and instructions, we will discuss in this topic to talk about some of them.
Dental health tips
First, the person should visit the dentist even if he does not feel any disease in the teeth or mouth, and also make sure to clean the teeth after eating, after 30 minutes have passed, so that saliva reduces and reduces the impact of acids that leave in the mouth, and estimates the time Sufficient and appropriate for the process of brushing the teeth three minutes on the face at least, in the morning and evening.
It is also recommended to drink water as much as possible, as it is an important element to maintain dental health, as water is one of the essential and indispensable elements that constitute saliva as an essential component that works to produce minerals.
Not to mention that water contains the mineral that provides protection for the teeth from corrosion, which we find always mentioned in the composition of mouthwash and toothpaste.
Also, milk, a dairy product, contains very important elements, which in turn help give the bones of teeth strength, such as phosphate, vitamin D and calcium.
To enjoy healthy teeth, it is recommended to drink black or green tea in the amount of one or two cups, due to the polyphenol compounds present in it, as it works to kill bacteria and prevents its growth, which causes acid production in the teeth.
One of the methods used in brushing the teeth, in addition to the traditional method used in cleaning the teeth, represented by the use of toothbrush and paste, is the use of dental floss, through which the floss can reach places where bacteria and food residues accumulate that it is difficult for the toothbrush to reach.
Types of dental floss
Before moving on to talking about how to use dental floss, it should be noted that there are two types of dental floss, namely:
Monofilament and nylon threads.
The monofilament is considered compared to the nylon thread on the other hand, not to mention its resistance to any rupture that may in turn be easily exposed to the nylon thread. Nevertheless, the nylon thread that we find waxed and unwaxed is considered the easiest in terms of use as it is characterized by the ease of sliding between the teeth, with the addition that These threads are the most protective threads for the gums, and the least harmful as well.
Use of dental floss
This method takes 2-3 minutes on a daily basis, by using dental floss that is approximately 50 cm long. You have to wrap most of the floss around your middle finger in each hand, so that approximately 5 cm of the length of the floss remains between your two fingers.
Later, carefully pass the floss in the direction of the space between the teeth, taking care to make the floss taut, in addition to avoiding that you put pressure on the gums strongly.
After that, you have to wrap the floss in the shape of the letter C on each of your teeth, gently moving back and forth at the base of the tooth, with the need to make sure that the floss reaches the gum line.
And when you move from one tooth to another, use a new part of the dental floss, taking care to open the mouth during cleaning and not close it. And when you have finished brushing your teeth, use the same movements, as well as back and forth, to remove the dental floss from between your teeth.
