Filler injection

It is a synthetic injection used to enhance youthful skin by restoring fullness to the face and plumping lips. It works by reducing or removing lines, wrinkles and folds in the skin, especially above the upper lip and next to the nose, and its effect is immediate after treatment. The patient notices it after the injection.

Causes of sagging skin

With age and for various reasons and factors such as exposure to the sun for long periods, smoking, and a diet that is not based on purely medical rules, the skin loses collagen, and other natural moisturizing substances and oils, and with neglect, some areas of the face can turn into flabby and discolored areas and increase them Lines and folds longitudinally and transversely.

Simply, this problem can be solved, by using filler injections to restore the lost volume in the face and remove lines, wrinkles and folds.

 Types of filler injections

There are different types of synthetic, natural and safe materials that can be used as a dermal filler injection; It has been specifically developed over the years for use on the skin.

There are two types of injection packing:

 Temporary and semi-permanent.
And the semi-permanent type, which lasts up to 18 months.

As for temporary injections, such as, Hyaluronic Acid, which lasts up to 6-12 months, depending on the site of application and the substance used, such as Juvederm, which is also types. The type is chosen according to the area to be injected and the percentage of damage.

 What is Hyaluronic acid?

It is a natural substance found throughout our bodies:

In the skin, bones, joints, and eyes. It acts as a lubricant and moisturizer due to its ability to attract and store water.
This acid is produced clinically, usually from bacterial sources, not animal or human sources.

There are other types that the doctor may recommend, but you should be aware of their side effects in addition to their validity period and source due to the large variety of materials used by doctors.

side effects

Some side effects can include slight bleeding and moderate bruising, and swelling may also occur around the area.

If a swelling occurs during lip treatment, it may last 3-5 days and go away on its own. It is not recommended to use cold and hot compresses.

Allergies to dermal fillers are rare, but may include: redness, itching, swelling, and some small swellings under the skin.

These side effects may last for weeks or months and sometimes longer, but fortunately they are very rare.

Botox injections

It is a protein substance extracted from bacterial substances injected into different levels of skin tissue.

There are many uses for it, and its uses in the skin are used to treat increased sweating in the armpits, hands or legs, and one of its most important uses is in the treatment of expressive wrinkles in the forehead and around the eye and raising eyebrows.

Its effect lasts for about six months and more and with re-injection it lasts longer.

I would like to mention that many people confuse it with filling injections. Botox is not a filling injection, as it is possible to treat headaches and migraines using Botox.
