Cosmetic surgery
Plastic surgery is called in the English language Plastic Surgery, and it means operations that restore balance, ability, and beauty to part of the body, and the word “plastic” has nothing to do with the well-known plastic material, but rather is derived from a Greek word that means formation or molding, and despite the recent spread of plastic surgery, its procedure is due for antiquity.
A doctor named Susrutha was famous for skin grafting in ancient India in the eighth century BC, and in Europe a new nose was made for a person whose nose was eaten by dogs, by using skin from the back of the arm, and that was in the middle of the fifteenth century AD. In America, Dr. John Peter Meteer is the first plastic surgeon who performed plastic surgery with tools of his own making. During the First World War, New Zealand doctor Harold Gillies identified modern techniques in cosmetic and care for the deformities of World War I casualties, and became called the father of modern plastic surgery.
