Cleaning with lye and flossing, and lye can be obtained ready from pharmacies, or prepared at home with simple ingredients and steps, and in the lines of our next topic, we will present you with different ways to prepare mouthwash at home.

Mouthwash methods

mint lotion

Put in a clean bottle a cup and a quarter of distilled water from pharmacies.

Add six drops of peppermint oil to the distilled water.
Add another six drops of tea tree oil, close the bottle, and shake the ingredients together.

Gargle a tablespoon of lotion daily, taking care not to swallow it.

Lemon and honey lotion

Squeeze half a lemon, and put it in a clean bottle.

Add a quarter of a teaspoon of fine cinnamon to the lemon juice, a little baking soda, and a quarter of a tablespoon of honey.

Mix the ingredients together until you notice the fizziness as a result of using soda.

Pour an appropriate amount of lukewarm water into the previous mixture until the honey dissolves completely.

We keep the lye in the refrigerator, and use it after each meal.

The lye should not be used after three days of preparation.

Mint and rosemary

Add a tablespoon of green mint leaves, a quarter of a tablespoon of rosemary, and a tablespoon or a quarter of anise seeds to four and a half cups of hot water.

Cover the ingredients, and leave them to soak for at least thirty minutes.

Leave the soaked until it cools, then filter it, store it in a clean bottle in the refrigerator, and use it regularly to get rid of bad breath.

Cardamom and cloves

Add two cloves and half a tablespoon of fine cardamom to a cup of hot water.

Cover the previous ingredients, leave them to cool, then drain the liquid, pour it into a clean bottle, and use it regularly.

Grapefruit seeds

Mix half a cup of water with a few drops of grapefruit seed extract well.

Rinse the mouth with an appropriate amount of the mixture, as this contributes to the elimination of germs, and soothes mouth sores, and a little clove oil can be added to obtain more positive results.

Apple cider vinegar

Mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a liter of water. Gargle with the mixture on a daily basis for a number of times to eliminate bad breath.
