How to know skin color

Before knowing the color of the skin, two things must be determined, namely:

 Superficial skin color:

It is the color of the skin that appears on the mirror, and this color depends on the percentage of pigmentation in the skin, exposure to sunlight during the summer, and dehydration, and the surface skin color is determined by looking at the color of the jaw area, as it is less affected by changes in skin color compared to the rest the face.

 Inner skin color:

It is the color of the skin under the skin, and this type is divided into three sections, namely:

Warm skin, including people with brown or yellowish skin.

Cold skin, including people with white skin that tends to pink or red.

Neutral skin, including previous color combinations.

Skin color tests

There are some simple tests that can be done to determine skin color, including:

 Vein test:

The vein test is the easiest to know the color of the skin, and it is done by looking at the color of the veins in the skin, for example if they are blue, this indicates that the color of the inner skin is cold.

 White fabric test:

The test is the best, and it is done by using white towels and wrapping them around the neck and shoulders, and observing the change in skin color, as the white color reflects the true color of the skin.

 Gold and Silver Test:

It is the wearing of golden or silver accessories. If silver is suitable for the skin, this indicates that the inner skin color is cold, but if the gold is suitable, the inner skin color is warm, and in the event that gold and silver are suitable for the skin, this means that the skin is of a neutral type.

Factors that determine skin color

Skin color is determined by the concentration of three main pigments found in the dermis layer; To produce pigmentation in all superficial skin tissues, namely:

 Hemoglobin:

It is the pigment responsible for acquiring the skin's reddish color.

Carotene:

It is the pigment responsible for acquiring the bright color of the skin.

 Melanin:

Melanin is the main factor in affecting the color of the skin, as an increase in its concentration causes the skin to acquire a black color, while a decrease in its concentration leads to a pale yellow color.
