Coconut Oil

The benefits of coconut oil for hair have been known over the years. A study published in the Journal of Cosmetology in 2003 showed that coconut oil is able to penetrate the hair shaft due to its fatty acid composition, which helps protect hair from breakage and dehydration caused by chemical hair dyes. Or constantly use thermal coefficients.

Benefits of coconut oil for hair

The benefits of coconut oil for hair can be summarized as follows:

Coconut oil helps in hair growth and extension.

 Gives hair softness and luster.

 Moisturizes hair and reduces breakage.

Protects hair from natural protein loss and breakage when wet.

Protects hair from environmental damage and various weather factors such as sunlight, wind, smoke and others.

It is considered better than mineral oils and sunflower oil in maintaining the natural protein ratio and reducing its loss, whether before or after hair washing.

It is believed that the chemical structure of coconut oil is the secret behind its superior ability to protect the hair, as the latter consists of a medium-chain fatty acid called lauric acid, which enables it to penetrate the hair core.

How to use coconut oil on hair

Coconut oil can be used on the hair in the following points:

Leave the cup in the bowl until the coconut oil is completely dissolved.
Distribute the oil on wet or dry hair in sufficient quantity.
Massage coconut oil on the scalp and ends of the hair.

Leave the coconut oil on the hair for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.
Put a shower cap on the head, tucking all the hair in.
Rinse the hair with warm water to remove the oil from it.
Melt a pea-sized amount of coconut oil in the palm of the hand, and gently distribute it on the ends of the hair to add extra moisture to the hair.
